Sharing Expertise...and Hearing Tough Diagnoses
Through the decades you have come to count on the experts at TargetGov for the leading edge expertise and information to help you succeed in federal contracting. We have done our best to stay in front of the changes, and were very effective. However, the past few years have brought unfathomable challenges in three separate cancers to me, Gloria Larkin. As President of TargetGov, I tried to work through the first two, breast and unrelated skin cancers. Then in Summer 2025 I was blindsided by the third: throat, tongue and neck cancer. This development knocked me off my feet and demanded a 100% focus on treatment, including extensive surgery removing of part of my tongue, sections of my throat and 29 lymph nodes to contain the spread. The following radiation had its own devasting effects.
I made the difficult decisions to downsize and now close the business as it is imperative that I focus 100% on my health. Speaking is difficult, as is swallowing and energy for most normal activities.
It has been an honor working with you, my friends, clients, and colleagues in business, government, in supporting services and non-profits. You are the reason for my joy these past two decades, and this is the right time for me to leave the future to others as I focus on my health.
